CLYW Team En Masse at EYYC

Looks like Prague will see the biggest reunion of the Caribou team yet. Confirmed presences so far for the Canadian manufacturer are all European team members: from Iceland, Palli Gudmundsson; from the UK, Krisztian Kaluzsa; from the Czech Republic itself, Petr Kavka and Zdenek Hybl. Norwegian skateboarding ninja Pekka Lovas is back on the team and will be attending EYYC as well. From the other side of the Atlantic, the rioting duo Abe Ziaimehr and John-Bot will be attending, and CLYW boss Chris Mikulin will also be there for the family meeting.

EYYC just got even better!

Those who have been to the European Yoyo Championship before will nod in agreement when I say it is arguably the best contest I have ever been to. Sure the organisation is excellent, even the on-stage entertainment between divisions is fun, but for me the best aspect is the warm and generous crowd of yoyoers.

But wait.. thats not all… it just got better. For the first time ever (possibly in the world?) there will be a womens’ only division! This will be 3 minutes 1A. I really hope this will encourage more girls to get involved in competitive yoyoing!

There will also be an artistic performance division. Video entries need to be submitted before 5 January, at which time the judges will select 5 people/teams to perform in the final.

The championship will be held in Prague on 21st and 22nd January 2012. Venue will be same as last year, theatre Archa – Na Po?í?í 26, Prague 1, Czech republic. Registration is now open, and as with Worlds, the earlier you register the less you pay. The first price increase will be from 1 December, so make sure you register on or before 30 November to save money.
