While everyone is still coming down from the high that was EYYC2012, registration for the next big Yo-Yo party has opened!
The European Yo-Yo Meet is all the fun of hanging out with other throwers but without the stress of competition.
Yoyoers from all over the world are welcome to join the party, this year held in the Netherlands.
The city of Groningen is one of the busiest student cities in the Netherlands with lots of great bars and clubs, so come and join the party!
Registration has now opened at www.eyym.org
I will be in Austria for Christmas and a few days after, so I thought it would be great to meet up with some austrian yoyo players. We are meeting wednesday the 28th in Salzburg. Ofcourse the meeting is open to all yoyo players that want to come by!
Looks like Prague will see the biggest reunion of the Caribou team yet. Confirmed presences so far for the Canadian manufacturer are all European team members: from Iceland, Palli Gudmundsson; from the UK, Krisztian Kaluzsa; from the Czech Republic itself, Petr Kavka and Zdenek Hybl. Norwegian skateboarding ninja Pekka Lovas is back on the team and will be attending EYYC as well. From the other side of the Atlantic, the rioting duo Abe Ziaimehr and John-Bot will be attending, and CLYW boss Chris Mikulin will also be there for the family meeting.
A big shoutout to everyone competing in Russia this weekend! A special good luck and bring home some gold to Throw-YoYo’s very own Krisztian Kaluzsa and Corli du Toit!
This December Paul Han and Ann Connolly will tour CHINA !
Venues include: ChongQing -- Nanjing -- Shenzhen -- Shanghai -- Wuxi
Those who have been to the European Yoyo Championship before will nod in agreement when I say it is arguably the best contest I have ever been to. Sure the organisation is excellent, even the on-stage entertainment between divisions is fun, but for me the best aspect is the warm and generous crowd of yoyoers.
But wait.. thats not all… it just got better. For the first time ever (possibly in the world?) there will be a womens’ only division! This will be 3 minutes 1A. I really hope this will encourage more girls to get involved in competitive yoyoing!
The championship will be held in Prague on 21st and 22nd January 2012. Venue will be same as last year, theatre Archa – Na Po?í?í 26, Prague 1, Czech republic. Registration is now open, and as with Worlds, the earlier you register the less you pay. The first price increase will be from 1 December, so make sure you register on or before 30 November to save money.
